''たのしい、カラフル、面白い'' をいつまでも！ 素敵な伝統的な柄のニットは沢山ありますが、私がイギリスやヨーロッパで見て習ったのは、 それはそれはモダンでちょっと変わったユニークなニットの編み地の数々。 手が混んでいて複雑なので、中々アパレルメーカーさんの商品でお目にかかることは少ないですが、 ニットは自由で立体的で沢山の可能性を秘めた技術です。 素材も毛糸や綿だけに限りません。究極は紐状のものならなんでも、そして他の素材も混ぜることでさらに表現は広がります。 そんなモダンで面白いニットを、ただアートで作って終わりではなく、 日々のちょっとしたアイテムに落とし込む事で、ぜひニットの可能性を皆様にお伝えしたいと思いました。 そしてそのアイテムと共に個性を楽しみ、色を楽しみ、自分らしく生き生きと健やかな毎日をすごして頂けたら幸いです。 １点１点時間はかかりますが、手作りでお作りしています。 ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー 【Mai Tsujimoto】A knitting designer, an artist based in Tokyo インテリア会社にて販売や流行リサーチャーなどのキャリア後、2010年渡英。 2015年バッキンガム州立大学テキスタイル学科ニット専攻を首席にて卒業。 イギリスのニットブランドSiblingにてインターン後帰国、アパレルニットのコンサルテーション/生産、映像作家やアーティストの衣装など現在活躍中。 ニットを素材の一つと捉え、他のマテリアルと融合した実験的なニットテキスタイルや、カラフルでユニークなデザインを得意とする。 【家庭編み機・手編み】 【日本手芸普及協会 かぎ針編み/棒針編み講師資格保有】 Mai Tsujimoto is a knitted textile designer and an artist, who is based in Tokyo. Graduated Buckinghamshire New University in 2015 with the first class honor, interned at Sibling in the UK. She is a passionate knitter with interests in creating structural knits using a combination of hand and machine technique. Her artworks are inspired by her Japanese background and enjoy contrasting the ideas with colour and materials. Showing funny and odd feeling is her fundamental of design concept, which were inspired by previous humorous incidents in her life. She believes these fantasies are a necessary ingredient in living, it is enables people to become cheerful, stimulated and it is a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.
